Toyota making US manufacturing changes
Toyota has spent a lot of money over the past ten years, updating all their plants. For every dollar they have spent, they have probably saved, at least $5, by developing new technology and standardizing across all plants, worldwide.
The savings came from a significantly reduced need for machine tooling, more efficient painting processes and using highly advanced digital software for vehicle and production design. They can make almost any platform in any plant.
